What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics is an analytics tool from Google that helps you analyze your website traffic. The platform not only helps you measure base metrics like pageviews and sessions, but can also provide you with valuable insights into the ROI of your marketing efforts.
Google Analytics is available in two plans: Standard (free) and GA 360 (paid). IU has licensed GA 360 for use on student- and public-facing websites.
Google Analytics at IU
The Analytics team at IU Studios owns the university's implementation of Google Analytics across the university. That implementation is in the process of being migrated from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4.
If you need help with using Google Analytics, need access, or have questions, please email manahelp@iu.edu. Your email will create a ticket in Jira and our team will jump in to assist.
